About

I decided move away from my family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I had lived my whole life in order to pursue a PhD in Sociology at the New School for Social Research, not necessarily because I enjoy academic work as much as I wanted to live and play capoeira in NYC. I eventually came to enjoy my education almost as much as I enjoy capoeira and I still look forward to completing my dissertation on non-consensual sadomasochistic behaviors in everyday life. However, the sum of my student loans and near constant anxiety over bills and income led me to Occupy Wall Street on August 2nd 2011. I leveraged my work experience in the advertising industry as a market researcher and digital analyst in order to better understand how people perceived and interacted with Occupy Wall Street and I became an unofficial spokesperson for the movement appearing multiple times on MSNBC and Fox.

Things have never been the same since. This blog will be my autonomous space to tell stories from my ongoing education in anarchy, radical social change, social theory, martial arts, erotic arts, psycho-nautical adventures and Occupy Wall Street.
